First things first: This is NOT an auction...it is an Ebay sale. If you are interested in purchasing this set, you must either "Buy It Now" or make an offer BEFORE the sale ends so I can respond. Having said that: Ultra Rare 1967- 1968 BARBIE STORE DISPLAY. What more can I say? This cardboard and heavy plastic display is dated copyright 1967 Mattel. The scene is a bus stop with 2 Twist and Turn (TNT) BARBIE Dolls and 2 TNT STACEY Dolls. These dolls are NRFB FACTORY DRESSED... UNTOUCHED, PRISTINE and mint, mint, MINT! All dolls are wearing original Mattel outfits with dolls made for toy stores EXCLUSIVELY and NEVER sold to the masses. From right to left, we have: a pristine mint Brunette TNT Barbie wearing a COMPLETE #1848 ALL THAT JAZZ ensemble w/ original hair ribbons(original wrist tag is there but has fallen to the bottom of display...not torn in any way...just aged adhesive...see pix).....Next is a PRISTINE MINT TNT STACEY doll wearing a complete and mint #1813 SNUG FUZZ ensemble.....with original hair ribbons and wrist tag....next: a dark blonde pristine mint TNT Barbie wearing a pristine and mint #1849 WEDDING WONDER ensemble....complete with hair ribbons and wrist tag....lastly, a seated pristine and mint TNT STACEY doll wearing a pristine and mint #1814 SPARKLE SQUARES ensemble...complete with hair ribbons and wrist tag. All in all, this store display is absolutely STUNNING! The heavy clear plastic front and left side are completely original....the top (same grade) clear plastic on the top and right side have been replaced by the original toy store owner. I am an incredibly astute and avid Barbie collector for over twenty years and this display is in the EXACT condition as when I purchased it. Without blowing my own horn, I can tell you that this item is coming from one of the most famous/infamous Barbie collectors in America and I have been a part of the Barbie world for decades which includes: working for and with Mattel, illustrating for ALL major Barbie and doll magazines and illustrating for several hardcover Barbie books. The back of this structure is plain black cardboard in excellent condition.....the replaced clear plastic top and right side are a bit distressed but reconditioned incredibly well. The entire structure measures 15" tall.....8" wide and 22" long. Truly a Mod Barbie Masterpiece. If not "one of a kind".....it might as well be. This is the "Mona Lisa" of any vintage Barbie collection. FOUR dolls....FOUR outfits....a rare store display and just plain ASTOUNDING. 'Nuff said! Please be patient for MANY pictures to load. (Apparently ebay will not let me give any exact quotes for shipping in it's current incarnation, but I will assume shipping in America will be approx $50-$75 and international shipping will be approx. $75-$150).
