She unrolled the doll and the first thing I saw was "9" over an "EJ". The rest is in the photos. She is perfect and beautiful beyond comparison...literally a show stopper. Provenance is known and photos of family members are included.The doll is 23" and the body is very worn out. It is thought mother did a bit of painting to the body; however, it is marked in blue Medaille D Or and a lot of the old repaint is flaked off. She has brown enamel spiraled eyes and a closed mouth with pale bisque. She has almond wrap around eyes and the look of the First Series Portrait Jumeau. She is wearing marked Jumeau shoes. She also has her little Steiff rattle dog that will accompany her. Her creamy smooth bisque is perfect. Her body is worn. Her clothing a silk satin two piece antique French dress with full back and quite dear in ivory cream with a matched silk ribbon and ruched peaked bonnet. The wig is original and thick and full long blond mohair. She has her original cork pate.
